As an extension to his Ashes and Snow work, Gregory Colbert created amazing one-of-a-kind books containing beautiful reproductions of his larger images. This website is the online showcase of the collection. Alongside AshesAndSnow.org, Critical Mass was tasked with creating the online version of the Codex Ashes and Snow collection. I was fortunate enough to be the art director on the project. Our concept was to showcase the Codex collection in a radial, 24-hour sundial-like interface. This related directly to the antique nature of the books themselves.
The final product is a simple, elegant interpretation of the real books within an online gallery.
