When Critical Mass (the company I currently work for) got the opportunity to build Rolex.com, they also got the opportunity to take on AshesAndSnow.org. I was fortunate enough to be one of the art directors on both projects. Ashes and Snow is the brainchild or Gregory Colbert, a Canadian photographer who has created his own mythology and mysticism around his imagery. The solution we developed (with creative direction from Michel Clairo), was to become the digital extension of Gregory’s work.
From integrating Gregory’s video pieces in to the interface to showcasing ethereal photo galleries, I think we succeeded in giving justice to Gregory’s huge images in such a restrained venue.
AshesAndSnow.org was also honored with some nice accolades:

And was featured on page 211 of “Guidelines for Online Success“.
