I had the pleasure of designing one of ACAD’s newsletters. This one was based on interviews with alumni Eddie Guy and Deb Bishop. The challenge I had was to create a layout that not only showcased each individual’s work, but showed a distinct cohesion between them (as they’re married). For Eddie’s pages I really wanted to reflect the energy and fun of his collage illustrations (hence the angular, reflective typography). Deb got a more subdued layout (via her Martha Stuart work), but I tried to give it a kick of fun by reflecting some of her photo art direction in the layout. Oh, and I only had 2 colors to print with. I used black and neon orange.
